Amway to help set up computer centre for the blind in Lucknow
Amway Opportunity Foundation, which is part of Amway India, has tied up with the National Association for the Blind in Uttar Pradesh to set up a computer training centre for the visually impaired in Lucknow.
The centre is located at Lekhraj Dollar in Indira Nagar, and its main aim is to enable access to information and communication technology, iCT, services to the visually impaired.
There are 10 computers that will provide training on the Windows platform with more focus on using web based tools and services.
The centre will be of help to students who are preparing for the Computer Proficiency Certification test and will make them more employable.
