Top actor's son under probe for supplying drugs
The 25-year-old son of a Bollywood actor is under police investigation for allegedly supplying his friends in Mumbai with the drug, LSD. The identity of the actor is not known.
The drug is being smuggled into India from the United States in the form of acid stamps. These look like postal stamps and are placed under the tongue. The effect of the drug lasts for 12 hours.
Five people, including two college students, have been arrested for possession of LSD.
The actor's son is a student in the US and would supply the drugs to his Mumbai friends. Police sources say his family was shocked when told about his activities.
One of his parents has gone to the US to persuade him to come back to India and face trial.
