Comedy video addresses stigma about mental health
Indian comedy group All India Bakchod has used humour to address the stigma attached to mental illnesses like depression.
In the latest video, a group of people imagine a world where a physical illness like typhoid gets treated like depression does.
A number of people are seen reacting to someone telling them that they have been diagnosed with typhoid. No one takes this seriously and they instead start giving advice on how it can be overcome.
This includes telling the patient that typhoid is 'just a phase' that can be overcome with exercise.
Through jokes, it shines a light on how people with depression suffer in silence. They can't even seek medical treatment because it has been stigmatised by society.
Anyone can download the video and share it. It also has information to help anyone who might be suffering from depression.
