Army soldier with disability inspires others

Indian Army soldier KN Reddy injured his backbone at the age of 20 during a firing exercise. It was a major setback to his career as a soldier but he decided to stay positive and started taking an interest in sports.

Since 2002, Reddy has won more than 50 medals in shotput, and discus-throw in various national events.

This year, he took part in the National Para Athletics Championship at Jaipur in Rajasthan and won a gold and silver medals.

What is even more inspiring is that Reddy does not have a coach and trains by watching videos of sporting events. He says his confidence comes from keeping physically fit and staying positive.
