MTNL to convert 50% landline users into broadband users

Telecom company Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) has plans to convert nearly 50% of its landline users into broadband customers in the next 18 months.

The idea is to increase its earnings and keep its existing customers satisfied.

Right now, around 34% of its landline customers are also using its broadband services.

The company is also talking to its customers in Mumbai and Delhi to better understand their requirements.

The company may combine with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in future to have its presence all over India.
