Anushka’s post on fake stories gets support

In a strongly worded Instagram post actress Anushka Sharma has hit out at false stories. This includes reports like she was served tea by cricket selectors.
In a long post, she said that her name was being used in fake stories that claimed she was part of closed door meetings and influenced selection process. Anushka said that her silence in the face of such reports had led to the perception that this was the truth.
Anushka also said that she pays for her share while travelling with Virat on tour. Anushka Sharma has said that the media must look for ‘proof and facts’ when her ‘name is used’ and asks that she be left out of such reports.
My name has been used in fabricated stories claiming that I am part of closed door meetings and influenced selection process and I have kept silent. My name has been wrongly used to say how I have been given preferential treatment or how I have overstayed my authorised time with my husband on foreign tours which if anyone really cared about finding facts from the board would know that I have always followed protocol. – Anushka Sharma, Actress
Responding to her post, veteran cricketer Farokh Engineer, who had made a comment that Anushka was being served tea by selectors apologised on a news channel saying he had made the comments as a joke. “I just said it in a jest and it’s being made a mountain out of a molehill. Poor Anushka has been dragged into it, she is a lovely girl. Virat Kohli is a brilliant captain”.
Anushka’s post has received celebrity support. Arjun Kapoor responded saying, “She hits it out of the park”, while Ranveer Singh quoted a dialogue from his film Gully Boy and wrote: “Hahahaha! Hard hard … Diyela hai.”
