Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has come out to show his support for farmer protests at Delhi. Kejriwal said that he will observe a one day fasting along with farmers on Monday against central government’s new farm laws which has caused widespread fury. “I appeal AAP volunteers to join in. Centre must accept all demands of farmers. They must bring a bill to guarantee MSP (minimum support price)”, he said.

Kejriwal added that the new laws are profiteering and hoarding which are harmful for the country. “It will make prices go further up”, he said.

Last week, AAP claimed that Kerjriwal was put under house arrest by central government for not allowing stadiums to be made to makeshift jails for farmer arrests. Though Kejriwal did not confirm this, barricades were put outside his house. No one was allowed to enter or exit.

Farmers are adamant on no amendments being made on the acts as suggested by government. Instead, they want all three farm laws to be scrapped. A nation-wide hunger strike will be observed by farmers on Monday.
