Ezy Mov & myUDAAN offer home wheelchair support & transport to disabled people

Good news for disabled people or the elderly living in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Wheelchair taxi service company Ezy Mov and mobile app myUDAAN have come together to offer wheelchair assistant and caretaker service to people who are disabled and the elderly.

Accessibility now right at the doorstep for disabled people and the elderly living in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. This is thanks to a tie up between Ezy Mov, the wheelchair taxi service company and myUDAAN, the mobile application that helps disabled people and the elderly plan their travel in advance.

Wheelchair assistance for disabled at doorstep

The next time you or a disabled relative want to visit a friend or a doctor and need a caretaker or wheelchair assistance, you can +91 93207 76611. You will get an accessible vehicle to take you there along with a caretaker who will accompany you until you finish you work and are back home.

The service was launched earlier this month and has got a good response. South Mumbai resident Yogesh Shah has limited mobility due to motor neuron disease and used this facility. “I had to go for a family function and got all the support I needed from this service. I was happy with the quality of support provided”.

Many disabled people stay in buildings that have no lifts and need a wheelchair and a professional caretaker who can take them down the stairs safely. We are catering to all types of requests like a visit to the park, wedding, mall, hospital, etc. We also offer this assistance to disabled people who want to make trips out of town. – Ravindra Singh, Founder, myUDAAN

Book service in advance

The service is ₹ 100 an hour, with a minimum charge of ₹ 500. There are male and female professional caretakers available. You must call 24 hours in advance to book the service.

Bennett D’cunha, Co-founder Ezy Mov, says there are plans to introduce the service in other cities in the near future. “We are currently focusing in Mumbai which is a wider market for Ezy Mov. We are launching a railways’ pick up and drop services on 20 February so this arrangement works has a good precursor”. The response so far is encouraging, he says. “We are extremely delighted with the response that our customers have provided after using myUDAAN services and this is one step towards growing the accessible ecosystem for disabled people”.
