The Intelligence Bureau has raised a high alert about Pakistani marine commandos trying to enter India through the Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat.
All the ports in the state of Gujarat have been put on high alert as a precautionary measure particularly the Kandla and Mundra ports.
The authorities have beefed up security in the region as the infiltrators may try to incite communal problems or carry out terror attacks in Gujarat and disturb the peace.
Inspector General of Police (border range) D B Vaghela has said, "We receive inputs about possible terrorist infiltrations from time to time and we have enhanced the security at all vital installations in Kutch district, including the Kandla port."
Adani Port and Logistics which manages the country's largest private port at Mundra has also put out a high alert citing information from coast guard station.
A statement by the company said, "It is advised that all ships at Mundra port take utmost security measures and maintain a vigilant watch. All shipping agents and stake holders are directed to inform their vessels accordingly."
Last week the Border Security Force had found two Pakistani fishing boats abandoned in the creek area along the Indo-Pak border.
A few days ago Chief Admiral Karambir Singh of Navy had said that Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed is training a wing of terrorists that will operate underwater.
