Guru Nithyananda needs no introduction to social media users. Speeches and videos of the self-styled god man often goes viral on social media, but usually for all the wrong reasons. His take on life and many other things are often mocked at. In a fresh case, Nithyananda has now been accused of having held two young girls. The petition has been filed at Gujarat High Court by parents of the girls who claimed that their children were studying at Nithyananda’s educational institution in Bengaluru.
Couple Alleges Daughters Held At Self-Styled Guru Nithyananda’s Ashram In Ahmedabad. This guy has an ongoing rape case against him. And yet he’s allowed to be in charge of 1000s of impressionable girls-Doctor Roshan R, Twitter user.
According to petitioners Janadhana Sharma and his wife, all their four daughters who are aged between seven to fifteen years were admitted at Nithyananda’s institution in the year 2013. Upon learning that their children were shifted to another campus in Delhi, the parents tried to meet them. But were refused to by officials at the centre. The petitioners approached the police who helped them to bring back two of their daughters, but the other two daughters refused to come back.
The petitioners stated that they need an urgent investigation into the matter so that their daughters return back home at the earliest. “A couple has petitioned the Gujarat High Court on Monday for help to get back two daughters who they allege have been illegally confined at an ashram run by controversial self-styled godman Swami Nithyananda”, tweeted Shivam Vij.
