World Disability Day 2020 special coverage & other Trending Stories on Newz Hook – 30 November to 4 December

This week to mark the iInternational Day for Persons with Disabilities 2020 Newz Hook had a lot of special coverage. Here is a round up of the top stories this week.

This whole week Newz Hook focused on the International Day for Persons with Disabilities 2020 with a special coverage story everyday. The Covid pandemic has highlighted the vulnerabilities of people with disabilities in major ways but also shown opportunities as experts from the field highlighted in our main focus story.

People with invisible disabilities tend to be forgotten because their symptoms are not always visible. What does this lead to? That was the focus of our story leading up to 3 December where people with different kinds of invisible disabilities shares their stories.

Dr Anubha Mahajan,, Founder, Chronic Pain India shared her experience of coping with chronic pain in this video.

Amidst much confusion and uncertainty for parents of children with disabilities, the Kerala government has clarified that the transport allowance granted to children with disabilities will be given once the local elections are over.
