The first ever day and night cricket Test match will be played between Bangladesh and team India at Eden gardens in Kolkata. It will be the 1st-ever Test match to be played under lights for both the teams

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has agreed to BCCI’s proposal to play the second Test of the upcoming two-match series against India at Eden Gardens. The match will start on 22 November at 2pm (IST) and will include a tea and dinner break.

Recently former player and new BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly had said that captain Virat Kohli is also ready to play Day-Night Tests.

Apart from India and Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Ireland are the only teams who have not played a day-night Test. The 1st-ever day-night Test was played between Australia and New Zealand in 2015 and since then 11 Tests have been played.

“Wonder how both teams will cope up without any experience at domestic level. Not all Indian players have played pink ball game at domestic level. Hope this experiment don’t go horribly wrong with Test finishing in 2 days! That will be worst advert and start od DN in India,” tweeted cricketmaan.

Another social media user N tweeted,” Whether pink ball or not i assure the tests are anyway gonna finish within 3 days with India winning by an innings so yeah the d/n test is sth new and will be interesting to watch.”
