For the first time ever, team India whitewashed South Africa in a Test series.

India has won the Test series against South Africa 3-0 by an innings and 202 runs. This is a first time feat for team India in Test cricket history.
With this victory, India have now won six Test matches in a row on home soil.

The third Test match was played at the JSCA stadium in Ranchi yesterday. Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami took four wickets each on the third day of the match.

After the series win, head coach Ravi Shastri said, “Our formula was to take pitches out of the equation.” “Bhaad mai gaya pitch (To hell with pitches),” he added. “We want to take 20 wickets regardless of pitches. Be it Johannesburg or Delhi or Auckland or Melbourne, our work’s to take 20 wickets,” he also said.

Captain Virat Kohli suggested that rotation of venues can take place for ODIs and T20s while five venues should be fixed for playing Tests.

“We have been discussing this for a long time now. And in my opinion, we should have five Test centres. Period,” Kohli said.

He made the statements as most stands at the Ranchi stadium were empty and there was very little crowd watching the match.
