Modi’s gesture at Russian event goes viral

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Russia for a two day visit to attend the Economic Forum event. During the event, one of the officials offered him a sofa to sit on the stage. But Modi kindly refused and asked for a chair to be arranged. Modi's latest gesture at the Russian event is going viral on social media. A video of this was tweeted by Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
One can witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi's simplicity as he got a comfortable seating arrangement changed to a simple chair so that he could sit along with the others-Piyush Goyal, Union Minister.
The event reportedly happened on Tuesday and Modi was back to New Delhi from Russia early on Friday. But the gesture of one of the world's most popular leaders have gone viral on social media with his huge fan following sharing it widely. Modi arrived early on Friday so that he could witness the historical landing of Chandrayaan 2 on moon.
"For a country soaked into a regressive #VIPCulture, PM Sri @narendramodi's vigil against this cancerous culture has been constant. He gave yet another message to us when he refused a 'special' sofa for a photo session with CEOs at Vladivostok", tweeted BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma.
