NewzHook2019 – Campaign on Workplace Inclusion

As part of Newz Hook campaign #jobafordisabled, we featured some people with strong grit and determination who are proving to be valuable assets to their employees despite their disabilities. Here are some of the top employees and the businesses in India, that are hiring people with disabilities and promoting inclusion in 2019.
Haresh Kumar Punamiya is a senior employee and Team Leader with Barrier Break, a leading digital accessibility consulting firm. Haresh has a mobility impairment and loves that his work is enabling people with disabilities.
2. Pradeep More
Pradeep More works with Cart With Heart as a Sales Head. Pradeep is deaf but uses his skills to meet sales targets while also working with different teams and keeping them motivated.
3. Karthik K
Karthik K is an Accessibility Tester at the multinational IT firm Cisco-India. He has evolved as an important team member who understands the demands of the business and has overcome visual impairment.
4. Yogitha S
Yogitha S is a service delivery engineer working with American multinational firm Dell EMC. Yogitha has low vision but has the much-desired ability to handle pressure and consistency making her an ideal employee.
Mukta Garje is a deaf employee at the Star Bazaar store and likes the supportive atmosphere. She is happy to be learning new skills at the job.
6. Shiv Kumar
Shiv Kumar works with ANZ, a multinational banking and financial services company. He loves the challenges of the job and helping out people who call him for help. Shiv was disabled in an accident at the age of 15 and lost three fingers each in both hands.
Murugesh Changayya is an employee in the Staples department at the Star Bazaar Hypermarket store. He is deaf and communicates in sign language. He likes that his job helps him be financially independent and lets him interact with people.
Nikhil Rai Sahore is an employee of TEKsystems and works as a Technical Recruiter. He is completely blind and handles the recruitments, end to end.
Shagun Pathak handles multiple customers as a process advisor at top multinational financial services company Barclays. Shagun has a locomotor disability and loves to interact with people and the work environment at her office.
Adil Salim Patnakar is working as a cashier at Star Bazaar outlet. He is deaf and manages his work with confidence and likes to interact with customers.
