The postal services between India and Pakistan had been stopped in August after India revoked Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per reports, Pakistan has resumed postal mail services with India and lifted the ban on the delivery of letters. The postal services had been stopped by Pakistan as part of its decision to sever all communication links with India including the trade ties between the two countries.

The stopping of postal services was affecting a lot of people. “In India/Pakistan tensions, postal and parcel services were suspended, which has affected our publishing massively at @MyDaastan . We chose India because the printing quality and the prices were significantly better, despite the currency difference. Our printed books are stuck, tweeted a social media user No.

Although Pakistan has resumed exchange of letters through post, the parcel service will still remain suspended.

Amy Singh tweeted earlier, ”Since August 2019, Postal service between India and Pakistan is halted. This decision violates people’s basic right to communicate. Hence, we advocate restoration of the Indo-Pak postal service as it is impacting the common man.”
