Parts of North India to experience severe cold wave

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of severe cold wave across North India over the weekend. Reportedly, drinking alcohol at home and hosting year-end parties end of the week will make situation worse since there are chances of flu and other illnesses rising. The advisory from IMD states that drinking alcohol will reduce body temperature. Eating Vitamin C foods and drinking lots of water is also important.
IMD stated that Punjab, northern Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will experience severe weather conditions from 28 December.
As number of Coronavirus cases rise in India cross over 1 crore and 1 lakh deaths being reported, central government is being extremely cautious. People have also been warned to be careful and stay indoors in order to avoid any sort of health issues.
