PM Modi inaugurates smart city AURIC

The first greenfield industrial smart city of the country was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
The 10,000-acre Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) is part of the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor and is located near Aurangabad.
PM Modi said, "in the new- age digital era ecosystem, requirements of businesses are rapidly evolving and such businesses which frame their value proposition on smart technologies, it makes sense to provide them with a comprehensive ecosystem that itself is smart."
The aim of AURIC is development of an industrial region between the two major cities of Delhi and Mumbai. The mega project is aiming to bring large scale development to the region.
As per reports, Rs 70,000 crore in investments is the expectation from the project on completion. AURIC will provide amenities such as housing, workplace, and shopping centers etc. located near each other and is designed to be ecofriendly and state of the art.
During his visit to the region, PM Modi also inaugurated Auric Hall a multi-story building that will be used as the main administrative center for the Aurangabad Industrial City. Auric chatbot will also be used by the people to get redressal of problems from the administration.
Minister of state Raosaheb Patil Danve tweeted, "True to his vision of development, Hon PM @narendramodi ji will be dedicating the AURIC', India's First Greenfield Industrial Smart City' to the people in Aurangabad shortly. It is one of India's well-planned city being developed over an area of 10,000 acres in Maharashtra."
