PM Modi returns after USA trip

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had gone for a week-long trip to the United States of America (USA) last week. He returned back to India on Saturday evening after attending events in the USA. Apart from taking part in United Nations General Assemby (UNGA), Modi attended the Howdy Modi event where he addressed the Indian diaspora in USA. Modi’s much awaited US trip was a grand success.
I would like to express gratitude to the people of USA for the exceptional welcome, warmth and hospitality. I would also like to thank @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and other respected Members of the American Congress and Government-Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.
Upon his return, Modi thanked everyone for welcoming him back to India. He also added that he noticed a huge change in the attitude towards Indians in the USA and thanked all the Indians for their support. Modi also congratulated Indian defence forces for protecting the nation and mentioned about the Balakot strike as well.
Apart from meeting international leaders, Modi spent time with American President Donald Trump and exchanged ideas with him to improve ties between India and USA. “In 1897 it was that Narendra (Swami Vivekananda) & in 2019 it is this Narendra (Narendra Modi ji) as PM of India to receive hero’s welcome on return from USA. You made us proud!”, tweeted Narendra Sawaikar, former Member of Parliament.
