In his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio address yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his view with the country. Since the day was also NCC Day, PM Modi spoke of his experiences as a former NCC cadet.

He said, ”Our youth remembers the friendship day without fail. There are some who also remember NCC Day in a similar way. I congratulate all the current cadets and former cadets on NCC Day.”

PM also answered some questions that were asked by NCC cadets during his 59th radio show.

The PM praised the citizens of the country for showing restraint and patience after the verdict was recently given by Supreme Court in the controversial Ayodhya case.

“This time too, when the Supreme Court pronounced its judgment on November 9, 130 crore Indians once again proved, that for them, national interest is supreme. The values of peace, unity and goodwill are paramount in our country”, PM Modi said.

Prime Minster Modi also urged people to speak use mother tongue to promote their language.

He also mentioned the scuba divers from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, who removed 4,000 kg plastic from the sea in three weeks.

PM Modi said, “In just 13 days, they (scuba divers) brought out more than 4,000 kg plastic wastage from sea. This small effort has become a big movement. They now get help of locals, as well as the fishermen.”
