PM Modi tweets Tamil version of his poem

On 12 October, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping had an informal meeting at Mamallapuram near Chennai. A UNESCO world heritage site, the beaches and stone temples at the city are renowned for their beauty and charm. On Saturday, Modi, who is very popular on social media, took to his Twitter to share the Tamil version of a poem that he wrote praising Mamallapuram and its serene beauty. He received a lot of praise from people across Tamil Nadu including renowned South Indian actors and film-makers. “Here is a Tamil translation of the poem I wrote while I was at the picturesque shores of Mamallapuram a few days ago”, tweeted Modi.
A few days back, Modi had tweeted this same poem in Hindi.
Amazing love of our Hon.@PMOIndia @narendramodi ji for #Tamil. We all must celebrate his love & support to our language. Thank you sir-Dr Dhananjayan BOFTA, Film-maker.
Modi, during his visit to Mamallapuram, took a stroll at the beach where he was seen picking up plastic. The photographs had gone viral on social media. Ironic to what he preached, Modi was seen holding a plastic bag into which he dumped all the garbage for which he was widely criticised. “Saluting nature is saluting God..! Bcoz nature is the Almighty!! Great ! Hon @narendramodi sir! Thank you on behalf our nation, for your lovable poem on mahab ocean”, tweeted Tamil actor Vivek.
