PM to chair all-party meet to discuss Covid situation

For the second time ever since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair an all-party meet on Friday to discuss about the pandemic.
According to reports, top union leaders including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister Dr Hasrh Vardhan and Home Minister Amit Shah are likely to take part in the meet. Details on whether the meeting on 4 December will be held via video-conference or in person is yet to be revealed.
In the meeting that was held earlier, PM Modi had underlined the need for curbing transmission of the virus and to bring positivity rate under five per cent. He had also asked state governments to set up task forces at district and block levels to prepare for the much awaited vaccine program.
PM Modi has just completed a three-day tour of all the top places in the country where Covid-19 vaccines are being manufactured. Currently, over 94 lakh people have been infected in India with death toll nearing 1,40,000. India is still ranked as the second worst affected nation after the USA.
