Disability rights NGO Samarthanam and DXC Technology will partner in this year’s Bengaluru Walkathon on 7 December. They aim to spread awareness about water conservation. Hundreds of people from across Bengaluru are expected to attend.

Well-known disability rights NGO Samarthanam organises many programmes to raise awareness and sensitisation. On 7 December, they will partner with DXC Technology for the 15th edition of the Bengaluru Walkathon.

The walkathon aims to raise awareness about water conservation. This is an important issue as large parts of India struggle with water shortage.

The walkathon theme is Save Water, Save Life. The purpose is to make people aware of the need to save water. The walkathon will also mark World Disability Day on 3 December.

The Bengaluru Walkathon is an annual feature. Around 10,000 participants have promised to support us in the effort to bring about positive change. We thank our sponsors for extending their whole-hearted support. – Mahantesh GK, Founder Managing Trustee, Samarthanam.

“We are very proud to be the title sponsor this year”, said Romi Malhotra, Managing Director, DXC Technology India. “We have always engaged in activities to raise awareness on the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities and water conservation initiatives. Through the DXC Cares program, we regularly recognise and celebrate the inspiring community involvement of our employees across India”.

To participate in the walkathon, contact +91 92060-25578.
