US commends India's 'Chandrayaan 2' mission

India's Chandrayaan 2 mission was expected to touchdown on the moon on early hours of Saturday. But ISRO lost contact with 'Chandrayaan 2' a few minutes before its expected touchdown breaking the hearts of millions of India across the world. But ISRO's moon mission was a partial success. The United States of America (USA) also commended India's latest moon mission and said that ISRO's mission is a huge step forward for India.

We congratulate @ISRO on their incredible efforts on #Chandrayaan2. The mission is a huge step forward for India and will continue to produce valuable data to fuel scientific advancements. If the mission was a complete success, India would have been the fourth country to land on the moon after USA, Russia and China. 'Chandrayaan 2' would also have been the first to enter south pole of the moon. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO scientists and their efforts for 'Chandrayaan 2'.

Even NASA had appreciated India's moon mission. "Space is hard. We commend @ISRO's attempt to land their #Chandrayaan2 mission on the Moon's South Pole. You have inspired us with your journey and look forward to future opportunities to explore our solar system together", tweeted NASA.
