Virat Kohli breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s record

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is truly a man of surprises. He has led his team to victory many a times while breaking international records. On Wednesday, in the match against Australia, Kohli became the fastest player to reach 12,000 runs in one-day international cricket. He broke the milestone in his 242nd inning breaking record set by former ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who got 12,000th run in 300th inning.
Tendulkar’s record of 17 years was broken by Kohli with his indispensable batting prowess. Kohli is the second highest scorer for India in ODI’s just behind Tendulkar. He reached 11,000 runs in 222 innings and became the fastest to break the 10000-run mark in his 205th inning.
Kohli, who is expecting his first child with wife and actress Anushka Sharma often posts about the couple on social media. Kohli, whose performance has been internationally acclaimed, is definitely going to break more records in coming years. The 32-year-old is no doubt one of the finest players in the game today.
