Gone are the days when wearing a scarf meant you were nursing a cold. Scarves have become a must have for women who want to make a daily fashion statement.

Wear it loosely over your shoulders to brighten up a sober outfit or wrap it around your bag to use for later – a scarf can be your best friend. They are available in some beautiful shades and fabrics ranging from silks to cottons.

Disability rights advocate Virali Modi says scarves make for elegant wear.

Virali looks smashing in this black and white patterned scarf worn over a gray top. The underlying colour is black with white patterns of bird and feathers on it.
