My child has cerebral palsy and I want to understand how I can help support her better.

The most important attribute that comes to mind would be patience.
It is also important to be open as a family in understanding and addressing your child’s needs. Avoid feelings of guilt as this gets communicated to other family members and close friends. It is not anyone’s fault.
Remember to have an open and loving attitude with your child so he/she can talk freely about what they are feeling or going through.
